Lumecca IPL

Lumecca IPL is an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy used for skin rejuvenation and treating various skin conditions such as age spots, sun damage, rosacea, and broken skin capillaries. It is a non-invasive treatment that uses a high-intensity flash of light to target the melanin (pigment) or hemoglobin (red blood cells) in the skin, which absorbs the light and converts it into heat. This heat damages the targeted cells, stimulating the body’s natural healing process to produce new collagen and elastin fibers, which help improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Which areas can be treated in Lumecca?

Lumecca can be used all over the body. The most common treatment sites are the ones that are exposed to the sun regularly. This often includes:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Arms
  • Legs
  • Hands
  • Décolletage

Lumecca IPL is considered safe and effective for most skin types, and the treatment typically takes about 30 minutes to complete, depending on the area being treated. Patients may experience mild discomfort during the procedure, but this can be minimized using cooling gel or ice packs. Some redness and swelling may also occur after treatment, but this usually subsides within a few hours to a few days.

Patients should also avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen after treatment to protect their skin and maintain the results of the treatment.
